eroDAT - Technology Base and Plant Parameter Administration

Parameter administration using eroDAT means having the plant parameterization in plain text, for parameters such as temperature, conductivity and pH-values, right up to free technology generation in the familiar Windows-environment. eroDAT can be integrated with existing production and planning systems. Links to all standard databases are also possible. Access control to the individual user levels through the supervising access control module eroPWD. With the technology administration, the plant operator can create any technology independent of the person setting up the plant, within the context of the plant conditions, and also modify these. An almost unrestricted generation of technologies/articles thus becomes possible, WITHOUT any programmatic changes. Each technology can be summoned in the production process immediately after it is generated. The optimization module eroGAL uses this to create the time-path diagrams optimized for the given throughput - in real time. A finished goods protocol accurate to the detail will enable a gap-free proof of technology for every kind of goods carriers. Selection functions allow for printing or previews based on production periods, goods carriers or order. All the data will be saved on a lead computer or network server and can be integrated from there into a central data back up. The data is compared with the controls whenever there is any change or every time the program is started. eroDAT communicates via Ethernet or serial interfaces with the controls for the entire plant(s)

eroGAL - Custom-designed Process Optimization

eroGAL is the optimization software for goods transportation systems in galvanizing plants, with horizontal transport wagons. The software runs outside of the actual controls, as a separate optimization tool, on as standard-PC under the OS Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP-Pro. eroGAL offers maximum possible flexibility in the production. Especially where the tasks are changing, like in piece work galvanization, the rigid cyclical controls are a hindrance to production, but even in plants where relatively established technologies are used, rigid programs often turn out to be a costly solution. With eroGAL, any technology that has been created or modified using eroDAT can be processed and optimized. The optimization module eroGAL creates throughput-optimized path-time diagrams in real time, from pre-defined, newly created or modified technologies, independent of whether these are always the same technology sequences in use, or whether these are constantly changing, new technologies, or even unique ones. Fixed technology sequences result in fixed cycle times (without variations), and if constantly changing technologies are used, then, it is naturally not possible to give a fixed cycle time. In practice, the materials tasks are assigned at the loading stations with the help of operator terminals or identification systems (e.g.: barcode, inductive, microwave, ...) or directly from the PC.

The plant operator then assigns the goods carriers to the time of execution of the task, and to a technology. The technology must be present already in the technology base. The order can be taken up by a supervising order processing, or defined freely. Once the goods are handed over, the operator will be informed in plain text about the individual running stages of optimization (technology number not available, materials carrier number doubled, optimization in progress, Goods carrier is being brought, ...) The data is exchanged with the plant controls with the help of a communication module (Ethernet or serial interface).
